Overview

EasyButtons is a shortcut launcher for Android. This policy describes what information the app accesses and how it is handled. The short version: EasyButtons does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app stores stays on your device.

Information We Collect

EasyButtons does not collect any personal information. No account is required to use the app. No analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included.

The app saves the buttons you create — their labels, colors, and URIs — using local device storage (SQLite). This data never leaves your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app.

Permissions

EasyButtons does not request any sensitive system permissions. The app launches URIs using Android’s standard intent system, which requires no special permissions. Home screen shortcut pinning uses the Android Shortcut Manager API, which also requires no manifest permission on Android 8 and above.

Backup & Restore

EasyButtons lets you export your buttons to a JSON file and import them back at any time. This feature uses Android’s Storage Access Framework — the system file picker — which requires no storage permission. The export file contains only the button data you created (labels, colors, URIs) and is saved to a location you choose. No data is uploaded to any server.

In-App Purchases

EasyButtons offers an optional one-time upgrade (“EasyButtons Pro”) available through Google Play’s in-app billing system. All payment transactions are processed entirely by Google Play. EasyButtons does not see, store, or handle any payment card details or billing information. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for information on how Google handles purchase data.

After a successful purchase, EasyButtons stores a local flag on your device to remember that Pro features are unlocked. No personally identifiable information is stored as part of this.

Third-Party Services

EasyButtons does not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs. The only third-party component used is the Google Play Billing Library, which is required to process in-app purchases and is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

EasyButtons is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Because EasyButtons collects no personal data from any user, no special handling is required.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the new version will be posted at the same URL with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
